Now, this might not be new, but I just found out.
So I was browsing F-Droid¹ to see what’s new. I also follow the Guardian Project² Repo³ has just updated Firefox Klar.
I have never heard of Firefox Klar.
Turns out it is the German version of Firefox Focus⁴, (the anglosphere version,) with telemetry and other things stripped out. I’ve been using Firefox Focus, but less telemetry, the better imo. I searched the play store for good measure and Klar was not there for me. Noodling around with Klar, it otherwise works the same as Focus.
So I’ve switched from Focus to Klar!
I thought others here might be interested.

¹F-Droid is an alternative appstore for Android that specializes in FOSS and Open Source apps. If you’re looking for a non-corpo alternative to something, it might be the best place to look.
²The people who maintain Tor, among other things.
³F-Droid allows one to add other repos to their appstore. F-Droid builds everything on their store themselves, but you can use others to get faster updates. Things like Firefox forks need that.
⁴Firefox Focus (and apparently Klar too,) is a striped down browser. Its incognito mode only and provides a separation between your full browser and random links. I leave it as my default and if I want something in my main browser, it has a send to function.
