The super-short answer is that he starts projects and doesn’t finish them, asks for feedback and then gets all fragile and blocks people when they give any level of criticism, won’t accept help when people offer it, claims it is open source but then pretty much ensures that he’s the only one working on it and merging PRs, ignores issues, and just pretty much acts like a tone-deaf techbro all the time who’s grandiose claims of “being better than Instagram ever was” are highly exaggerated and vaporous.
And then there’s the transphobic and racist comments and his complete overreaction to being called out on any of it. He’s got a massive messiah complex and acts like a real jerk most of the time.
And we’ve had some users of various OTS outlets that have had direct clashes with him over stuff, so for some of us it’s a lot more personal than it might otherwise be.
