“It explores the diversity of practices and the role of artistic activism in exposing, critiquing, disrupting and countering the encroachments of algorithmic systems of power, control and exploitation, with the objective of strengthening, promoting and protecting human rights and fundamental freedoms by offering interdisciplinary pathways to empower the public.”
EDIT:
I think this link does a better job of unpacking what taking part in this looks like, but kinda just barely gets to what it wants people to actually do, or examples of, and what makes it so
I feel like this is big art brain speak, I have to like, turn on my Uni art brain to read it, and even then I wish I was on my meds so I can properly understand what it wanted to say so I can enjoy it. I’ll try it again now lol
And here I thought the article itself was part of the project, spouting out such dense and overly-verbose prose so as to ruin the algorithm by virtue of simply existing and being out on the public internet.
it’s written as an artist statment/manifesto, which is most theory/art philosophy stuff, so I get it lol.
Digging and thinking deeper on it, I think it’s fancy speak for going full “caveman smash bad thing”, but done so eloquently it goes under the radar. I think I was looking for more "scrambling"and “make everything more suspicious”.
