Advice for Sidestepping the Man (Windows 11)

So.

Windows 10’s death is on the horizon. So I supposed I should upgrade to 11. But 11 had a ton more telemetry on it than 10 does.

Does anyone have any good resources for bypassing/turning off of that? Some things I’m looking for:

  • Upgrading and not needing a Microsoft Account
    • I’d prefer upgrading 10 rather than a clean install. Under the assumption that it won’t break everything on my computer anyway.
  • Registry edits for turning off telemetry etc.?
  • How to fire copilot into the sun.
Anything else that should be obvious but I’m missing.

My computer is capable of Win11, I know that much.

never used it (i don’t use windows anymore) but heard good things about it: GitHub - ChrisTitusTech/winutil: Chris Titus Tech's Windows Utility - Install Programs, Tweaks, Fixes, and Updates
