Anybody got recommendations on what software or plugins you use to bypass paywalls on news sites? I know that there are several, I just can't seem to remember any of them at the moment. I even want to bypass those "this is not a paywall" paywalls that want to harvest an email address or whatnot.
If I read a given site more than 3 times in a given month then I'll pay for it. But I'm not giving my email address or signing up for a subscription just to read a 1-off article here and there.
What's the current new hotness for this sort of thing?

So, I still use Bypass Paywalls Clean as both an uBlock Origin filter list, but also as a userscript. I works most of the time.
When things don't work from BPC, I use archive.is and that handles pretty much anything I've thrown at it. Any paywalled page you come across, add archive.is/ in front of it.

Kill sticky for overlay type things:
https://github.com/t-mart/kill-sticky
and apparently 12ft.io shut down sooo yeah any cache method is good
(edit)
I will also recommend using an email forwarding service. it makes giving out emails way less of a big deal since you can just turn them off
