I would just like to officially state that I do not need another DAP.
I have sources.
I have headphones.
I have perfectly functioning gear.
…so anyway, Shanling and Tanchjim made a limited edition WAIFU DAP and now my wallet is in danger.

And then they slapped full AsanoTanch artwork on the back like:
“Yeah this is a serious audio device. Also waifu.”
My brain:
You are an adult. You don’t buy gear because of waifus.
Also my brain:
Waifu DAP.
Worst part? It’s not even just a meme device
They actually did sound tweaks:
- Exclusive tuning
- Silmic II capacitors
- Improved digital power section
And inside: 4× CS43198 DACs.
So now I can’t even dismiss it as “just a collector gimmick”.
It’s a legit, powerful, anime-blessed audio brick.

I do not need that.
My headphones do not need that.
But do I want a portable device that can intimidate my entire collection? Yes.
Then they added emotional damage in the box

Conclusion:
I do not need a cyan-blue, spiritually hydrated, four-DAC Waifu DAP.
But if one somehow appeared on my desk, I would simply accept my fate.
Audio gear is supposed to be rational.
This is not rational.
Fuck it.
And that’s exactly the problem.
