EA open-sourced a bunch of Command&Conquer games

After EA already released the source code for the Red Alert/Tiberian Sun DLLs in the Remastered Collection a few years ago, some more repositories follow:

They also included updated modding tooling in another repository:

Additionally, all these games in the Ultimate Collection on Steam now have workshop support enabled, so people can actually build things and publish them for all those games.

As an extra, they also uploaded a video with archive footage from Renegade and Generals, showcasing tech demos and prototypes:

:smiley: :smiley: :smiley: yeah, I never thought I would see/hear that sentiment. I can only think that they’ve decided that they’ve wrung every single last red cent they can from this franchise and now they’re finally done hoarding it. :joy:

EA has been shaping up to be the least shitty 3rd party AAA western developer for a while. Not that they’re doing a lot particularly good, everyone else has just gotten worse.
